Vermeer Manufacturing Company launches the HG200, a revolutionary compact horizontal grinder designed for material reduction in confined urban areas. The HG200 enters the Vermeer line of horizontal grinders and offers an alternative to conventional compact brush chippers by processing brush and sizing the end product in one pass - producing mulch that can be used for general ground cover, landscape mulch, compost, or animal bedding. The HG200, which shares the same platform as the Vermeer BC1000XL brush chipper, is powered by an 85 hp turbocharged Cummins diesel engine. The machine has a gross weight of 2495 kg, allowing it to be towed with a "1-Ton" truck and easily transported through residential neighborhood yards and commercial sites.
