As of July 1, 2016, Enno Straten takes over as managing director of Continental’s business unit Commercial Specialty Tires (CST). He succeeds Dr. Michael Märtens who left the company last year to concentrate on other projects outside the industry. Straten, who has worked at Continental for 17 years, will report directly to Dr. Andreas Esser, executive vice president of Continental‘s business unit Commercial Vehicle Tires.

“With Enno Straten, we have gained a very experienced manager for the business unit, one who has already demonstrated his extraordinary skills at our company over many years, both domestically and internationally,” says Dr. Andreas Esser. “He will press ahead with the strategic expansion of the business unit in the three core areas of Material Handling, Earthmoving, and Agriculture. Our goal is to provide customers around the world with customized solutions that meet individual and industry-specific needs.”

Thanks to his various positions at Continental, Enno Straten knows the company very well. After graduating with a degree in engineering, he began his career in the Research & Development department of the Passenger & Light Truck Tires division’s Original Equipment business unit in 1999. Since 2000, Mr. Straten has worked in various positions in key account management, among others as automotive engineer and key account manager for Daimler worldwide. Sakai America, Inc. recently gained two of the paving industry’s top leaders. Joseph Seckinger accepted a position as Sakai’s Southeast district manager, and Dale Wilson is Sakai’s new national light equipment sales manager.

Since beginning his career in 1998, serving as an area manager in customer relations, Joseph Seckinger moved quickly from direct sales to regional management before accepting the position at Sakai. As Southeastern district manager, Mr. Seckinger is responsible for ensuring all end-users receive Sakai’s high-level customer support, available through a network of quality dealerships in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Dale Wilson’s career spans 34-years and includes sales and marketing management roles at dealer, distributor and manufacturing levels. He served as a national accounts manager for a construction equipment manufacturer for nine years prior to accepting his new role with Sakai.

One of his first goals, Mr. Wilson said, is educational. “Sakai’s industry-leading service record is no secret. Sakai has always impressed me with the quality both of its machines and of its nationwide dealer support network. I want to make sure everyone knows that the same reputation for uptime held by Sakai’s heavy metal is shared by its light equipment lines as well.”
