New Bobcat HS8 spreader attachment is hydraulically driven

Bobcat Company now offers an 0,23 m3 spreader attachment for the speedy distribution of lawn care products in the summer months and sand and salt in the winter. The HS8 is the first spreader offered by Bobcat that is driven by the hydraulics of the loader, which makes it easier to install because the attachment does not need to be wired to the machine like electrically driven models.

The hydraulic flow of the loader controls the spinner and is controlled from the cab, giving the Bobcat® HS8 a spread pattern from 5,6 m à 8,6 m. An optional sidewalk kit is available, and compresses the spread pattern to 0,7 m ou 1,0 m, depending on the mounting location of the kit. Three manually adjusted gates on the hopper control the flow of material and an agitator keeps material loose so it is evenly spread. These features allow the operator to spread only as much material as is necessary in consistent patterns, keeping costs down and saving time on the job.

The spreader can be tilted and the hopper used as a bucket to scoop up material from a pile, preventing the operator from having to leave the cab to refill the attachment. Made of high-density polymer with ultraviolet protection, the hopper is a durable and time-saving tool. A grate over the top of the hopper prevents the operator from stepping into the hopper when entering or exiting the loader.

Used for spreading most dry, free-flowing granular materials, the HS8 spreader attachment is approved for use on all Bobcat® skid-steer and compact track loaders and the Bobcat-exclusive A300 all-wheel steer loader.

Bobcat also offers two other spreader attachments, a front-mounted model with a 0,16 m3 hopper capacity and a rear-mounted model for use on the Toolcat™ utility work machine with a 0,38 m3 hopper capacity.
