Starting with a rock solid base, Terra EV uses the most rugged and durable trucks in the industry, the Western Star 4900XD and 6900XD. The diesel powertrain is replaced by ALTDRIVE, the premium battery electric powertrain by MEDATech.

Terra EV trucks are also the first to be available with a fast-charge system. Developed by ABB and MEDATech Engineering, this fast-charge is proud to be the most powerful and the fastest in the world.

The Terra EV truck is offered in 2 sizes and 2 platforms. The smallest being the 4900XD, or the Terra EV Boss, the dump box version can carry up to 22.6 t, while its tractor version, depending on the trailer used, payload could be tripled. The 6900XD, or the Terra EV Master, has a load capacity of 36.3 t in dumpbox configuration and its tractor version can carry up to 136 t, or more.

The Terra-EV truck's propulsion system is the key to its success. It is powered by MEDATech's ALTDRIVE, a system tested and proven for over 10 years, well-known in the mining world with units in operation on all continents. The ALTDRIVE is a zero emission drivetrain system, specifically designed for the off-road world in the most severe applications.

Terra-EV vocational trucks are designed to last and allow organizations to reduce their CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as reducing the operating and maintenance costs. The batteries used are certified conflict mineral-free and are over 90% recyclable.
