CZM Introduces LR75 to Fleet

CZM Foundation Equipment recently introduced the LR75 to its fleet. The Long Reach series is a unique CZM design that brought the high performance of CZM’s EK line to a boom mounted set up with increased reach.

The Long Reach machines are equipped with a specially designed boom with 2 lift cylinders allowing for a higher torque and crowd force to be applied to the tool, which aligns with interlocking Kelly bars making it efficient in rock and hard soil drilling. Round Friction bars are also available for high production in softer soils.

The LR75 is mounted on a CAT330 Next Gen base with variable undercarriage. It is powered by a 275 hp Cat C7.1 ACERT engine. The maximum drilling diameter is 3.35 m, torque is 105 kNm, standard drilling depth is 18.3 m, main winch line pull of 120 kN with 2 gears for high speed and pulling force, and operation weight of 42 t. The rotary offers 3 operation and spinoff speeds and automatic gear shifting. Its maximum reach of 3.8 m is ideal for applications such as sound bearing walls, transmission lines and utilities, substations, drilling on steep slopes and difficult to reach holes.

This model can be transported in one load, with the Kelly bar on and is easy to set up, without the need of any support equipment. It is also equipped with CZM’s control system to monitor drilling parameters, perform some functions automatically and to help with diagnostics and maintenance records. Remote log in to the telematics system is possible to troubleshoot and resolve eventual issues.
