Double goal for Palazzani at Incheon International Airport

Designed to look like a Korean Temple, Incheon International Airport is the largest airport in South Korea, the primary airport serving the Seoul Capital Area, and one of the largest and busiest airports in the world.

The airport has 111 boarding gates altogether, with 44 in terminal 1, 30 in Concourse A (connected to terminal 1), and 37 in terminal 2, a golf course, spa, private sleeping rooms, an ice-skating rink, a casino, indoor gardens, and a Museum of Korean Culture.

Opened in 2001, the whole complex has been built with high tech and environment-friendly materials, and from 2011 to 2017 ₩4,000 billion ($4,8 billion) was invested to add a second passenger terminal in the northern field of the airport and expand its existing cargo terminal and other infrastructure.

After completion, Incheon International Airport is able to handle 62 million passengers and 4.5 million t/y of cargo, up from the previous capacity of 44 million passengers and 4 million t/y.

Two units of Palazzani Spider Lifts TSJ 27 were recently supplied for the new terminal maintenance/cleaning activities, on wheels for easy maneuvers and powered by AC electric motor and DC gel batteries pack for indoor use mainly. The gel batteries have been preferred for better performance even in the harshest conditions and lower overall maintenance costs as well as no acid pollution.
