Minnich Introduces M-Box Vibration Control Solution

Minnich Manufacturing, the leading manufacturer of concrete dowel pin drills, concrete vibrators and vibrator monitoring systems celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018, has introduced the M-Box vibration control solution at World of Concrete, in Las Vegas, earlier this year.

The Minnich M-Box is an innovative control speed high-cycle power converter that enables high-cycle vibrator operators to control the speed/vibrations per minute (VPM) of up to 2 vibrators. The M-Box minimizes time and cost associated with patching structural concrete surface blemishes caused by excessive vibrator speeds.

In pumped concrete mixes, available/bleed water can be an issue. The faster the vibrator speed, the more water separation occurs and collects on the form faces. Chipping and patching labor and patch material can be expensive.

Minnich M-Box operators can select from speeds of 6,000, 8,000, and 10,800 VPM. The product converts the 230 V, single-phase outlet of a 3,500 W generator to 230 V, 3-phase output, allowing the operator to choose a uniform and compatible constant speed under different concrete loads.

“The M-Box gives our customers complete control of their concrete,” said Rob Minnich, vice president of marketing at Minnich Manufacturing. “By helping operators apply the most force with the lowest speed, the M-Box maximizes vibration quality – and, in turn, the quality of the concrete structure.”

The M-Box joins the growing Minnich family of concrete control solutions including the Minnich Auto Vibe systems, which can monitor, control and program hydraulic vibrator speeds during the paving process for superior concrete surface results.
