Camions Excellence Peterbilt est fier d’annoncer la nomination d’Alain Gallant, à titre de directeur de la succursale et du service pour la concession de Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur. Parmi ses nombreuses fonctions, il sera notamment en charge d’assurer la satisfaction de sa clientèle et d’en assurer le suivi.

Avec plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans le domaine du camionnage, Alain Gallant a su démontrer ses nombreuses compétences. Son parcours chez Camions Excellence Peterbilt est exceptionnel. D’abord technicien, puis conseiller au service pour ensuite occuper des fonctions d’assistant directeur, il a su gravir les échelons pour obtenir un poste de directeur. Ses compétences lui permettront d’écouter et de comprendre les besoins des clients afin de les satisfaire et de répondre à leurs attentes.

Le premier ministre du Québec, Philippe Couillard, et le ministre de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles et ministre responsable du Plan Nord, Pierre Arcand, annonçaient récemment la décision du Conseil des ministres de nommer Éric Martel en tant que membre du conseil d’administration et président-directeur général d’Hydro-Québec.

Gestionnaire aguerri, titulaire d’un baccalauréat en génie électrique, Éric Martel est un leader chevronné qui a contribué de façon remarquable au succès de nombreuses organisations. Il était jusqu’à tout récemment président de la division Avions d’affaires chez Bombardier, entreprise au sein de laquelle il a œuvré pendant près de 13 ans. Il y a également occupé les fonctions de président – Services Bombardier aéronautique et de vice-président Qualité et transformation. Monsieur Martel a occupé des poste au sein de plusieurs entreprises de renommée internationale, telles que Pratt & Whitney et Rolls Royce, ainsi que pour Procter and Gamble et Kraft Foods.

Appointments


 

Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of Terex Corporation, has appointed Anders Mantere as product manager, Genie Telehandlers. In this role, Mr. Mantere will manage the Genie telehandler product family and assist in the development of new products to meet ongoing customer needs. He will report to Chad Hislop, director of Product Management, Terex AWP.

Anders Mantere joined Terex AWP in 2006 as a design engineer supporting portable products and scissor lifts. He has acted as a lead engineer in a sustaining role, as well as chief engineer for several new product development programs. Since 2010 he has been in an engineering management role supporting portables, scissor lifts, light towers, trailer-mounted boom lifts, as well as a number of special initiatives.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. (HCEA), recently announced the addition of Tom Owen as National sales manager. Mr. Owen will be responsible for both the inside and outside sales teams for Hyundai’s construction equipment products. He will be based at the company’s North American headquarters in Norcross, Georgia.

Tom Owen comes to HCEA with extensive experience in strategic sales and distribution management within the heavy equipment industry. He has an agricultural engineering degree from Iowa State University and has held several key sales, marketing and dealer development positions for leading global OEMs. He is looking forward to working with distribution to provide improved communication and sales support to, ultimately, grow Hyundai’s North American market penetration and distribution network.

Superior Industries, Inc. has appointed Patrice Briand as territory sales manager throughout Eastern Canada. In his new role, Mr. Briand will work alongside Superior’s dealers in the region to bring solutions to bulk material handling customers in Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Kevin Beyer, the existing Canadian sales manager for Superior capital equipment, will continue to service dealers and accounts from Ontario to British Columbia.

Patrice Briand comes to Superior Industries after most recently holding the title as Environmental and Recycling manager at Voghel, Inc., a manufacturer of shredders, grinders, crushers and screeners for the recycling industry. Before Voghel, he was vice president of Sales and Development for Manuquip Equipment Inc.

Patrice Briand has been affiliated with the industry in various positions since 1990. Historically, he has been associated with a variety of professional association related to the industry including APMLQ (Quebec Heavy Machinery Owners Association), ACDE (Canadian Association of Equipment Distributors), ACRGTQ (Association des constructeurs de routes et grands travaux du Québec), PDAC (Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada), CIM (Canadian Institute of Mining), 3R MCDQ (Regroupement des récupérateurs et des recycleurs de matériaux de construction et de démolition du Québec). He received an Industrial Electricity Diploma from Gaspé College in 1984.
