DEUTZ at Middle East Electricity 2015
The highlight among DEUTZ’s exhibits was the TD 2011 L4 ‘Telco’ with a power output of 60 kVA. This engine, optimised for powering telecommunication transmitter masts enjoyed its première at Middle East Electricity 2014 and was extremely well received by the market. Painted a distinctive lemon yellow, the engine is ideally suited for use in the rapidly growing African mobile phone sector. There is a particularly great need for diesel-generator-powered mobile phone masts in rural areas that often lack power supplies. This is where the DEUTZ TD 2011 L4 is the perfect solution because of its exceptionally economical fuel consumption, resulting in considerably reduced running costs. For those applications which demand a higher power output, DEUTZ also exhibited its 250 kVA TCD 2013 L6 4V in Dubai. This similarly fuel-optimised engine allows easy and inexpensive installation because of its minimal weight and small installation space requirements. Acoustically-optimised components keep the engine’s noise emissions low while retaining its smooth running characteristics and long service life. Top performance was demonstrated by DEUTZ’s TCD 2015 V8 which delivers 500 kVA. Here, too, the very compact design reduces installation costs. The rugged engine can be operated worldwide, even when using fuel grades with a high sulphur content.
