General Equipment Introduces New 235 Hole Digger

General Equipment Company introduces its new M235 2-man hole digger. The M235 is well suited for a range of hole digging applications in various soil types.

The M235 exhibits General Equipment’s focus on better engineered-in ergonomics. For instance, it features new, game-changing polymeric Gen 2 Comfort-Flex operator handle technology with integrated flex-type handle grips, which takes the next step in absorbing torque-related kickback forces and damping machine vibrations. Operators will benefit from the reduced physical stress, strain, and fatigue normally experienced when digging holes. It is also a lighter weight, more compact unit – 30% lighter than other General 2-man hole digger models – making it ideal for the rental/DIY market.

Featuring a Briggs & Stratton 190 cm3, 4.5 hp gas engine, the M235 delivers a maximum drilling torque of 154 ft lb. The newly designed, heavy duty, oil-cooled transmission includes a centrifugal all-metal clutch and machine-cut spur gears with a 25.4 mm diameter output shaft. The new transmission lock feature allows for easy removal of a stuck auger from the ground without disconnecting the power unit from the auger and helping prevent damage to both.

In addition to a wide range of high-end features, a full line of augers in 57 mm to 305 mm diameters are available providing an effective digging depth of 762 mm. A 381 mm long extension is also available for deeper hole digging applications.

In business for more than 60 years, General Equipment Company is a family-owned manufacturer of earth augers, ventilation blowers, asphalt cutters, surface preparation equipment and temporary lighting equipment.
