The Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show
The Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show continued it's record breaking ways on April 3 & 4, 2008 at Moncton's Coliseum Arena Complex with more exhibitors than ever before and a record-setting attendance of 11 660 visitors in just two short days. Thursday started out rather ominously, with hurricane force winds and chilling temperatures. But it did not keep the loyal heavy equipment enthusiasts away. Friday was much better, weather-wise, and also was the strongest day of the show. Exhibitors once again outdid themselves with their gleaming displays of heavy machinery, products and accessories. The organizers wish thanks to the Atlantic Land Improvement Contractors Association (ALICA) for their support. The Inaugural Backhoe Rodeo in the outdoor exhibits area was a good success. Operators of all skills and ages stepped up during the two days of competition, with the overall Grand Prize winner, Luke Dillon, of Kathron Equipment in St. Martins, being announced on Friday afternoon. Many thanks to "Rodeo-John Higgins" from ALICA for his efforts in organizing the Backhoe Rodeo.
