New Company Name, Expanded Services Capabilities

Advanced Initiation Systems announces that it is now the United States affiliate of the international Davey Bickford organization, and the company has changed its name to Davey Bickford USA, Inc. This move and name change allows Davey Bickford USA to combine its efforts with and share in the vast application experience of the global Davey Bickford organization. It gives the company greater product strength, increased global brand recognition and improved customer support. Additionally, a new Davey Bickford Canada, Inc. branch has been established to improve product support to Canadian customers.

"We are excited to be more closely associated with the global Davey Bickford organization," says Alan Broca, Davey Bickford USA President. "This will allow us to work even closer with our customers to help improve their blasting performance and safety."

Davey Bickford USA continues to offer the Daveytronic® digital blasting system, and has expanded its product support program to include Daveytronic Solutions. This new program expands the services available to the company's mining, quarrying, construction and civil engineering customers, enabling these operations to maximize the benefits gained through the use of high-accuracy electronic detonators. Seasoned consulting engineers help operations to define problems in the blasting program and determine the right solution.

The Daveytronic digital blasting system has revolutionized the blasting process by delivering high accuracy detonator times up to 0.1 of a millisecond (ms). Detonator timing delays range from 1 to 4,000 ms and can be programmed in 1 ms increments. Since each Daveytronic detonator is identified by the order number and programmed time, the system's advanced pre-blast diagnostic alerts operators not only to shorted, faulty, or missing firing lines, but it also tells the operator the exact location of the problem.
