Robit Launches World’s Widest Hammer at CONEXPO-CON/AGG
Robit Group and its UK subsidiary BulrocRobit will reveal their new flagship large hammer, the Bulroc Robit Hyper 331, at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas. The high-power hammer extends the group’s down-the-hole (DTH) hammer range from 25 mm to a hefty 838 mm. The Hyper 331 features the largest piston on the market of any size DTH hammer, with its impressive 1552 kg. This, coupled with a long piston stroke and optimized impact frequency, make it the most powerful hammer out there. Robit Group now offers the smallest and largest DTH hammer in the market. The Hyper 331 operates with foot valveless bits designed for 838 mm up to 1,320 mm diameter holes over a wide range of operating pressures. The Hyper 331 is designed to transfer maximum energy to the button bit and comes with a highly durable shank as a standard. “We wanted to maximize the power of the new hammer, making it the most powerful in the market, especially in piling applications where the drill hole sizes and performance requirements are constantly increasing. Therefore we maximized the power in all aspects of the technical design,” says Frank Pettinger, BulrocRobit Product Development. “Our target was to make a hammer that outperforms the other large DTH hammers in the market, and it is hoped that we’ve succeeded with flying colors.” BulrocRobit, traditionally known for the quality and performance of its large DTH hammers has been developing the 838 mm hammer for some time. Now the product has been finalized and tested and is ready for global sales and supply. The first hammer has already been sold to a customer in America, so the hammer that will be displayed at CONEXPO-CON/AGG will get to work quite soon after the show. Robit Group will also be displaying the widest offering of its products at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. Naturally the full set of casing systems, mining and quarrying hammers and DTH bits from DTARobit as well as Robit Top Hammer products and their digital services, launched in 2016. Robit Group is a rapidly growing company in the drilling consumable market segment. It has 19 sales and service points worldwide and 5 manufacturing companies in the U.S., Australia, South Korea, UK and Finland.
