FAUN Acquires Trombia Technologies

FAUN Group from Germany took a majority interest in Finnish manufacturer Trombia Technologies Oy, effective on October 1^st, 2022.

With Trombia, FAUN extends its product range with the world’s first full-power, electric and autonomous street sweeper system Trombia Free. The goal is to enable the electrification of an entire industry and significant emission reductions with its patented technology.

“Together, FAUN and Trombia will accelerate the company’s transition to series deliveries and production of the autonomous street sweeper systems. The patented Trombia cleaning technology that removes heavy debris, street and industrial dust without using water and with a lower power consumption compared to its competitors. The company launched the Trombia Free sweeping systems in 2020. Trombia is also Scandinavia’s technology leader in hydraulic snow removal and sweeper attachments.
Along with the ownership transaction, Trombia Technologies also confirmed €6 million ($8.1 million) growth financing arranged by FAUN to accelerate company’s transition to series deliveries and production of the autonomous street sweeper systems.
