Power to Keep Cool
When a manufacturer listens to what customers want, that may not always go as planned. Often in the effort to solve one issue an OEM might create an unforeseen one. If it has to do with cooling, then Cancore will find an answer. Many Freightliner users with the optional 600 hp Cummins engine fitted have seen reliability issues associated with the radiator. The move toward lightweight plastic/aluminium coolers is not a bad thing, but it does narrow the margin for error. One size may not fit all when cooling systems have been designed around narrow criteria (cost, weight, commonality). This is what higher horsepower customers have discovered, and many turned to Cancore for a solution. The result is a newly designed “drop-in” radiator with a more aggressive structure including a higher fin count, better fin spacing and more tubes to improve coolant flow.
