BKT Tire Excellence and Innovation for the Mining Industry on Display at MINExpo 2024
BKT was a key player at MINExpo 2024, one of the world's top events for the mining industry, held September 24-26 in Las Vegas. BKT presented sneak preview session of the new “BKT Tire Track Pro” software – a tire management system. This platform, which has been developed by BKT to optimize fleet management in the earthmoving and mining sectors, will enable timely tire performance monitoring throughout all stages from inventory to disposal, ensuring optimum utilization and significant savings in operating costs. The software is designed to suit any organization, breaking down geographic barriers and providing secure and efficient fleet management. By integrating predictive analytics, the system is able to anticipate potential issues, thus increasing both safety and productivity. Intuitive and easy-to-use dashboards will make data-based decision making quick and easy. In addition to the new platform, BKT showcased a selection of its EARTHMAX tire lineup, which is specifically designed to meet the challenges of the mining industry. Among the patterns on display, there were: EARTHMAX SR 32 (40.5/75 R 39), a wide-base radial tire that is ideal for scrapers; EARTHMAX SR 41 (35/65 R 33), distinguished by its ability to provide excellent traction on difficult terrain along with durability over time; EARTHMAX SR 468 (50/80 R 57), designed for rigid transport trucks; EARTHMAX SR 51 (29.5 R 29), which features a strong construction and a special sidewall protection making it ideal for extreme operating conditions; EARTHMAX SR 53 (60/80 R 57), which features a deep L-5 tread and a particularly cut-resistant compound; and MINE STAR (38x16-15), a cross-ply tire that is perfect for the most demanding mining operations because of its high resistance to cuts and punctures, optimizing the equipment’s operating efficiency. Moreover, visitors attending BKT's booth 8813 had the chance to take home several promotional giveaways, such as baseball caps, EARTHMAX key chains, foam footballs, handbags, pens, and pocket diaries.
