Rototilt Looks Back on Another Successful Excavator Hero
With Excavator Hero 2022 recently coming to a close, Rototilt and winner Steve Lafontaine talked about engagement and experiences. “I was surprised and excited when I found out my video had been chosen. I never thought I would make it all the way to the top position and being crowned Excavator Hero,” he said. “The support I received from my community, Liebherr Canada and specifically from my friends and family has been nothing short of amazing.” In his video, Steve Lafontaine shows both daily tasks with his tiltrotator as well as some odd ones. At one point he shows of his precision skills by picking up a pair of gloves with his grapple module and handing them to his coworker. Apart from the title of Excavator Hero, Mr. Lafontaine received €10,000 ($13,200) to spend on a Rototilt product of his choosing. He also won a visit to the company's factory and headquarters in Vindeln, Sweden, in September. A trip where he joined 5 other Excavator Heroes. “I'm looking forward to the trip to Sweden as I have wanted to visit the Rototilt manufacturer ever since I purchased my first tiltrotator”, said Steve Lafontaine. In total, 6781 votes were cast during this year’s edition of Excavator Hero. Jack Sklenar, Social Media manager at Rototilt, is happy about the engagement from followers both on the Excavator Hero site and on social platforms. “The engagement from the community has been incredible. During the competition we’ve had over 15,000 visits on the competition site,” said Mr. Sklenar. “It’s great to see that it’s getting attention and that people are having fun with it. We’re excited about the future of Excavator Hero and look forward to seeing Steve here in Sweden soon.”
