Unimog Showcases Year-Round Solutions for Municipal and Public Works Applications at GaLaBau 2026
At GaLaBau 2026, held in Nuremberg, Germany, September 15-18, Henne Nutzfahrzeuge, together with Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks and Unimog ExpertPartners MULAG and Bucher Municipal, presented practical solutions for year round municipal operations. The 2 vehicles on display highlight the versatility of the Unimog as an implement carrier and its suitability for a wide range of municipal tasks throughout the year, from green space maintenance to winter service. The Unimog U 535, delivering 260 kW (354 hp) and featuring a 3,350 mm wheelbase, was showcased at GaLaBau. Equipped with a mowing door and the switchable hydrostatic drive system EasyDrive, the base vehicle is ideally suited for mowing applications. MULAG provides the appropriate attachments for modern vegetation management. The vehicle is equipped with the front boom combination MKF 600 featuring an edge-strip mower and MK 1200 mowing head, as well as the new rear boom MHU 900 with AMK 1200 mowing head and integrated grass collection system. For winter maintenance applications, Bucher Municipal presented a Unimog U 219. As the smallest model in the Unimog range, it offers exceptional manoeuvrability and is particularly well suited for urban operations. The vehicle was equipped with a Unix LN30u V-plough and a Yeti W16 spreader. This combination enables efficient and versatile snow clearance as well as precise spreading operations in municipal environments.
