La Ville de Terrebonne annonçait récemment la nomination de Luc Fugère au poste de directeur des travaux publics, une décision approuvée lors de la dernière séance du conseil municipal. Il est entré en fonction le 3 juin. Fort d’une carrière exemplaire dans le domaine des travaux publics et de l’environnement, Luc Fugère cumule plus de 25 ans d’expérience. Il a occupé des postes de direction au sein de plusieurs municipalités notamment Blainville, Terrebonne où il a été directeur des travaux publics durant près de 6 ans, Saint-Eustache et Rosemère. Ses contributions remarquables ont marqué les villes où il a œuvré en démontrant son engagement et son expertise dans la gestion efficiente des infrastructures, des opérations et des projets d’envergure. «Nous sommes fiers de faire – à nouveau – équipe avec monsieur Fugère. Sa connaissance de notre ville, de ses particularités et des équipes le positionne de belle façon pour relever les défis de gestion et d’opérations qui sont les nôtres. Nous sommes convaincus qu’il contribuera de manière significative à l’avancement et au développement des mandats sous sa responsabilité», déclarait Mathieu Traversy, maire de Terrebonne. « Nous sommes enchantés d’accueillir monsieur Fugère. La composition du conseil d’administration et du comité exécutif de la Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ) pour 2024-2025 a été dévoilée lors de la 75e assemblée générale annuelle, tenue le 9 mai dernier. Jean Turgeon (Le Groupe Jenaco inc.) a été élu président et succède ainsi à Denis Beauchamp (Beauchamp, Babin et associés inc.) qui a occupé ce poste au cours des 3 dernières années. Il est membre du conseil d’administration depuis 2019 et siège au comité exécutif de la CMMTQ depuis 2021, en occupant le poste de vice-président. Il sera appuyé par Jennifer Hamel (Laroche mécanique du bâtiment inc.) à titre de vice-présidente et Daniel Robert (Kolostat inc.) à titre de secrétaire-trésorier. «C’est un honneur pour moi d’avoir obtenu la confiance de mes pairs pour assumer le rôle de président de notre Corporation», déclarait Jean Turgeon. «Plusieurs grands dossiers sont sur la table de travail. Les assurances commerciales, l’inspection des travaux de construction et le paiement rapide en sont quelques exemples, tout comme la réalisation des actions de notre plan stratégique 2024-2027. J’entreprends donc ce mandat avec enthousiasme en sachant que je pourrai compter sur la collaboration du conseil d’administration et des membres.» Le conseil d’administration de la CMMTQ compte 14 entrepreneurs actifs au sein de l’industrie de la mécanique du bâtiment. Provenant de toutes les régions du Québec, ces administrateurs représentent également l’ensemble des spécialités de l’industrie.
Terex Utilities annonçait récemment 2 promotions importantes au sein des départements des opérations commerciales et des ventes. Joe Caywood a été nommé directeur des opérations commerciales. Il dirigera le marketing, la gestion des produits, les opérations de vente, le support technique et les garanties. Monsieur Caywood travaille chez Terex depuis plus de 22 ans, où il a occupé diverses fonctions de direction chez Terex Utilities et Genie. «Ces changements de direction interviennent alors que Jim Lohan, vice-président des ventes et du marketing, prévoit de prendre sa retraite après une décennie de contributions à l’industrie des équipements utilitaires. Joe et Jonathan apportent leurs connaissances et leurs compétences pour continuer à faire de l’expérience de nos clients une expérience de classe mondiale», déclarait Eric Kluver, vice-président et directeur général de Terex Utilities.
Takeuchi-US annonçait récemment la nomination de Scott Utzman au poste de spécialiste des accessoires. À ce titre, il sera responsable des ventes d’accessoires et de l’assistance pour les concessionnaires et les comptes nationaux de l’entreprise dans toute l’Amérique du Nord. Il travaillera de pair avec eux pour les démonstrations, la promotoin et le soutien de la gamme de produits Takeuchi. Monsieur Utzman formera également le personnel de vente des concessionnaires sur les caractéristiques, les avantages et les applications des accessoires. Scott Utzman a rejoint Takeuchi-US en 2005 en tant que responsable régional des pièces détachées, avant d’être promu au poste de responsable adjoint des pièces détachées et de responsable national des pièces détachées. Il a ensuite mis à profit sa vaste expérience en matière de pièces détachées dans le cadre d’une nouvelle carrière en tant que responsable du soutien à la clientèle, pour finalement gérer le programme d’accessoires de Takeuchi lors de son lancement au début de l’année 2021.

Tsurumi Pump recently announced the appointment of John Hartz as new sales engineer. Having worked in the water and wastewater industry for more than 35 years, he will enhance the experience for Tsurumi’s customers by facilitating the comprehension of technical product features and helping develop customized solutions. “Tsurumi is globally recognized as a leader in submersible pumping and wastewater process equipment; I expect to better serve our municipal customers’ needs and improve the quality of life for everyone in their community. John Hartz holds a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science with a concentration in Hydrogeology from the State University of New York, along with a Grade IA Water Treatment Plant Operators certificate from the New York State Department of Health.
Linamar Corporation’s Skyjack division announces the appointment of Arthur “Trey” Miller to Territory sales manager, covering the state of Florida and the Caribbean, as Mike Bullock retires from the role. Mr. Miller brings over 20 years of industry experience to the role, with an extensive career and valuable experience in the equipment rental space. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company recently announced that Ryan Waldron has been named president of the company’s Americas business unit, reporting to CEO and president Mark Stewart. He succeeds Steven R.
