CIMA+ annonçait récemment la nomination de Richard Bourque au poste de directeur principal, stratégie et livraison, intelligence artificielle. Depuis son arrivée chez CIMA+ en 2022, monsieur Bourque a démontré sa capacité à livrer des projets stratégiques d’envergure, qui ont mis en lumière son aptitude à piloter des transformations complexes, à mobiliser efficacement les équipes et à assurer une exécution rigoureuse dans des environnements multidisciplinaires. Avant de se joindre à CIMA+, Richard Bourque a notamment travaillé chez Element AI, l’une des plus importantes entreprises en intelligence artificielle au Québec, où il a participé à l’intégration de solutions d’intelligence artificielle et à la gestion des défis d’implantation dans différents contextes organisationnels. Cette nomination s’inscrit dans l’évolution naturelle de la stratégie numérique de CIMA+, qui intègre depuis déjà plusieurs années les technologies d’intelligence artificielle et d’automatisation avancée. «L’intelligence artificielle représente des occasions majeures pour CIMA+, affirmait Eric Martin, vice-président principal, Technologies de l’information chez CIMA+. Avec plus de 30 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la défense canadienne, et une formation universitaire en génie, monsieur Gazaille apporte à CIMA+ une compréhension approfondie et concrète des priorités en matière de défense, des contraintes opérationnelles et des réalités de livraison. CIMA+ travaille depuis plus de 20 ans sur des projets liés à la défense nationale et à ses infrastructures, et l’arrivée de Sylvain Gazaille à titre de leader du marché de la défense chez CIMA+ marque une nouvelle étape pour l’organisation. «Avec l’augmentation des investissements fédéraux et un engagement national renouvelé en matière de défense, le marché canadien de la défense connaît une croissance et une transformation sans précédent. EBC annonçait récemment la nomination de Ghyslain Deschamps à titre de président et chef de la direction. Cette transition s’inscrit dans un esprit de continuité, appuyée par des années d’étroite collaboration entre Marie-Claude Houle, présidente et chef de la direction depuis 1999, et Ghyslain Deschamps. Ensemble, ils ont contribué à renforcer la position d’EBC parmi les entreprises de construction les plus importantes au Canada. Ghyslain Deschamps a joint EBC en 2018, d’abord à titre de vice-président exécutif pour la division Bâtiment, et ensuite, comme chef de l’exploitation (civil et bâtiment) et vice-président exécutif. Fort de 35 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie de la construction, il a dirigé de grands projets de construction au Canada et à l’international. Il a également occupé des postes à la haute direction d’entreprises d’ingénierie et de construction, où sa vision stratégique a contribué à l’expansion de ces dernières. «Je tiens à remercier Marie-Claude, la famille Houle ainsi que les membres du conseil d’administration pour la confiance qu’ils me témoignent. Le conseil d’administration de Fondaction annonçait récemment la nomination de Stéphan Morency au poste de président-directeur général de Fondaction et du regroupement entre Bâtirente et Fondaction. La décision a été entérinée sur recommandation du comité des ressources humaines en conclusion d’une démarche rigoureuse et diligente. Cela conclut un processus de relève entamé il y a deux ans, avec la volonté d’assurer une continuité solide tout en insufflant une énergie renouvelée à l’organisation. Monsieur Morency succède à Geneviève Morin, qui a annoncé sa retraite le 11 février dernier. «Stéphan Morency devient président-directeur général dans une transition réfléchie, assumée et soigneusement préparée. À la fois militant et expert de la finance, Stéphan incarne parfaitement la culture de l’organisation. Son leadership tourné vers l’avenir, sa vision et son ambition ont fait l’unanimité. Le conseil d’administration lui accorde sa pleine confiance et lui assure son soutien dans l’exercice de son mandat, à la tête d’une organisation en pleine santé et prête à aller plus loin dans sa mission», déclarait la présidente du conseil d’administration, Caroline Senneville. Stéphan Morency est un leader engagé, reconnu en finance durable et en investissement d’impact, au Québec et à l’international. Fort de plus de 25 ans d’expérience, dont 15 ans chez Fondaction, il œuvre à mettre la finance au service du progrès social et écologique. Membre du Conseil des investisseurs du Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), il contribue aux échanges internationaux sur les enjeux de la finance climatique et de l’investissement d’impact. À titre de vice-président et chef de l’investissement de Fondaction, de 2019 à 2024, il a piloté plusieurs innovations structurantes en finance climatique et sociale, tant au Québec qu’à l’international, dont la création de Fondaction Gestion d’actifs, du Fonds Inlandsis (réduction de gaz à effet de serre liée aux marchés du carbone en Amérique du Nord), de la SOFIAC (efficacité énergétique), de la Fiducie du Technopôle Angus et de la Fiducie agricole UPA-Fondaction. Nommé vice-président exécutif, stratégie et planification en 2024, il a eu le mandat de définir la vision et la stratégie du groupe qui va émerger du regroupement entre Bâtirente et Fondaction. Il s’est préparé à prendre les rênes de l’organisation dans le cadre d’une démarche de relève structurée, mise en place par Geneviève Morin, alors présidente-directrice générale, et encadrée par le conseil d’administration.
Barlow Métal Inc. annonçait récemment la nomination de Denis V. Lachance au poste de président et chef de la direction. Monsieur Lachance assurera la continuité des opérations et l’avancement des activités de développement du projet Collines de Fer suite à la démission de Simon Britt qui occupait ces fonctions depuis septembre 2024. Diplômé de l’Université Laval en génie minier, Denis V. Lachance compte plus de 40 ans d’expérience dans la réalisation d’études de faisabilité, de revues diligentes, ainsi que dans le développement et l’exploitation de projets miniers majeurs de métaux de base et de métaux précieux au Canada et à l’international. Au cours de sa carrière, il a occupé plusieurs postes d’administrateur et de direction auprès de Falconbridge Limited, Mines Noranda, Xstrata Nickel, Koniambo Nickel et X2 Resources. Plus récemment chez Ressources Minières Radisson, il a été président du conseil de 2016 à 2024 et président et chef de la direction par intérim de septembre 2022 à juin 2024. Denis V. Lachance a réintégré Barlow en 2025 à titre de membre du comité technique. Il travaillera étroitement avec le conseil d’administration afin de poursuivre les priorités stratégiques de Barlow, notamment le développement du projet Collines de.
Colas Canada annonçait récemment la nomination de Jean-François Bolduc, Ing., MBA, à titre de président de Groupe Colas Québec Inc., un acteur de premier plan dans la construction et l’entretien des infrastructures de transport ainsi que dans la production de matériaux granulaires dans la province. Monsieur Bolduc possède un parcours impressionnant en tant que cadre supérieur avec une expérience internationale en ingénierie, consultation, services environnementaux et construction, avec plus de 30 ans d’expérience dans la livraison de projets, solutions et services à des gouvernements, grandes entreprises et clients industriels en Amérique du Nord, en Europe, au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique. Dans son poste exécutif le plus récent, Jean-François Bolduc a dirigé le développement de LOGISTEC Services Environnementaux et SANEXEN Services Environnementaux en Amérique du Nord en tant que président. Il a auparavant été chef de la direction régionale (EMEA) pour Environmental Resources Management (ERM). Monsieur Bolduc a également été président de Golder Europe, accélérant la collaboration régionale, la résilience des unités d’affaires et l’orientation client. Au début de sa carrière, monsieur Bolduc a fondé et dirigé Golder Construction, un fournisseur offrant des solutions environnementales ainsi que d’amélioration des sols et des fondations au Canada. «Je suis honoré de rejoindre Colas au Québec à un moment important de son évolution. Pascal Houle, chef de la direction de Sollio Groupe Coopératif, annonce la nomination de Charles Grégoire-Béliveau à titre de chef de la direction de sa division BMR à compter du lundi 11 mai 2026. Après 5 ans à la tête de l’organisation, Alexandre Lefebvre, l’actuel chef de la direction, avait annoncé en début d’année sa décision de quitter ses fonctions après toute une carrière dans le secteur de la quincaillerie, notamment au sein de l’entreprise familiale Lefebvre & Benoit. Coming off the success of the 2026 show, CONEXPO-CON/AGG is proud to announce Scott Young, head of Sales Region North America, Volvo Construction Equipment, as the chair of CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2029. Mr. Young has been an active participant in Association of Equipment Manufacturers leadership for many years as part of the association’s boards and committees. “The 2026 show set new benchmarks for innovation, engagement, and industry collaboration,” said CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show Director Dana Wuesthoff. “We are thrilled to welcome Scott Young as Chair for 2029. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with over 25 years in the construction equipment industry at both Ingersoll Rand and Volvo. In his previous role, Scott served as head of Uptime, where he led teams to implement new technologies and business models focused on services and product support, in partnership with the Volvo CE dealer network. He holds a degree in civil engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City and an Executive MBA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Hyster-Yale Materials Handling (HYMH) recently announced that Justin Byma, vice president of Global Product Management and Strategy, has been named a 2026 Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Mr. Byma earned this recognition in the Leaders in Excellence category, which honors seasoned professionals with at least 10 years of documented industry experience who have made outstanding contributions to the supply chain and logistics space. In his current role, Justin Byma leads a global team of product managers and engineers responsible for nearly the entire HYMH product portfolio, which includes both the Hyster® and Yale® lift truck brands. He blends strategic product leadership, cross-functional collaboration and market-driven innovation to deliver lift truck solutions that help customers overcome their biggest operational challenges and achieve productivity goals. Mr. Byma was selected for his leadership in unifying HYMH’s global product management and application engineering teams – an initiative that has reduced operating costs and strengthened the company’s ability to serve the global market while still meeting regional needs. He also oversaw the full-scale launch of the Hyster® A Series and Yale® Series N lift trucks, which shift the company’s product strategy from multiple application-specific models to a unified, modular and scalable model platform – helping customers get the right truck at the right price for their application. Mettler-Toledo International Inc. recently announced that Michael J. Tokich has been appointed to its Board of directors, effective February 5, 2026. Mr. Tokich served for over 17 years as senior vice president and CFO at STERIS plc, a leading global healthcare and life science provider of products and services, prior to recently transitioning to the role of senior financial advisor at STERIS. Michael Tokich joined STERIS in 2000 and held various senior financial roles prior to his appointment as CFO in 2008. “Mike is a highly accomplished executive who brings nearly two decades of U.S. public company CFO experience to our Board and an impressive track record of sustained growth, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Brokk, the world’s leading manufacturer of remote-controlled demolition machines, has hired Roy Ortega as its first dedicated service manager for Canada. Mr. Ortega, a seasoned field service professional, is responsible for new machine startups along with troubleshooting and repair for customers in the country. Brokk continues to amp up North American operations in Canada. In 2024, the company opened a new Brokk and Aquajet distribution center in Hamilton, Ontario, to streamline ordering and shipping for Canadian customers. Roy Ortega joins a growing team of industry veterans who are expanding in-country support and service for Brokk and Aquajet customers. “Having a dedicated service manager in Canada is a big step forward,” said Lars Lindgren, president of Brokk Inc. “It greatly enhances our ability to serve Canadian customers efficiently, especially when they need a Brokk technician on-site. Aftersales support is critical, and Roy understands that. He is a highly skilled and experienced mechanic who has been in the trenches and delivers.” Mr. Ortega, a Red Seal Journeyman, brings more than 20 years of experience to his role. He started his career as a mechanic in the automotive, truck and rail industries before joining Cooper Equipment Rentals as a field service technician and diesel mechanic. He most recently worked as a district service manager for United Rentals where he was responsible for fleet operations and maintenance for 6 branches in the Greater Toronto Area. He has experience with all types of heavy construction equipment, including electric equipment, and has worked with OEMs to keep equipment in optimal condition.
ZF Group recently announced the appointment of Jake Morris as the new Site Leader for ZF Hub UK located in Blythe Valley Business Park, Solihull, effective January 1, 2026. In this role, Mr. Morris is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the site which moved to its purpose built, sustainable technical center in 2021, strengthening ZF’s manufacturing and research and development footprint in the UK and supporting the company’s global technology and growth ambitions. Alongside his new responsibilities, he will continue to play a key role in advancing ZF’s Steer-by-Wire strategy, supporting global product development, customer engagement, and profitability commitments. Jake Morris brings more than 25 years of experience within ZF, having held a number of senior leadership positions across portfolio management, commercial finance, purchasing, and engineering. Most recently, he serves as Portfolio director, where he lead global steering product strategies with a strong focus on next-generation mobility technologies including Steer-by-Wire. This leadership transition follows the retirement of Bal Panaser, who concludes an exceptional career spanning more than four decades in the automotive industry. Bal has been instrumental in shaping ZF’s UK operations and leaves behind a legacy of innovation, collaboration, and customer-focused excellence.
