Tenna Launches New 360° AI Heavy Equipment Camera System According to OSHA, struck-by incidents are a leading cause of construction-related deaths, with approximately 75% of struck-by fatalities involving heavy equipment. Built specifically for construction jobsites with these realities in mind, TennaCAM 2.0 HE 360 AI delivers 360° AI hazard detection with real-time, in-cab alerts that give operators immediate awareness of their surroundings. By processing AI directly on the camera, the system identifies workers and pedestrians, as well as moving vehicles and equipment in blind spots, providing instant visual and audible notifications to help operators take corrective action before a collision occurs. Construction jobsites are dynamic, congested, and constantly changing. Tight work zones, limited visibility, and overlapping foot and equipment traffic create serious risk exposure. TennaCAM 2.0 HE 360 AI addresses these challenges with intelligence placed directly inside the cab – where decisions happen in real time. “Contractors don’t need another system that tells them what went wrong after the fact,” said Austin Conti, CEO and co-founder at Tenna. “While Tenna can do that too, we know that jobsite safety is paramount, and that contractors need technology that actively helps operators avoid incidents in the moment. TennaCAM 2.0 HE 360 AI was engineered specifically for heavy equipment working in construction environments to reduce risk, protect crews, and prevent costly damage.” Unlike generic fleet camera systems focused on post-event review, this fully integrated solution puts intelligence directly in the cab – giving contractors a more effective way to protect operators, crews, and equipment on active jobsites. TennaCAM 2.0 HE 360 AI is purpose-built for heavy equipment operating on-site.. The system is engineered to perform in demanding construction conditions, with industrial-grade hardware designed to withstand vibration, dust, weather, and the realities of the field. For contractors operating dump trucks, utility vehicles, and heavy equipment in congested areas, the system enhances operator awareness and confidence while reducing exposure to equipment damage, project delays, injury risk, and insurance claims. The heavy equipment camera system is designed to deliver focused, actionable alerts – supporting operators without overwhelming them or negatively impacting fleet scorecards. TennaCAM 2.0 HE 360 AI integrates seamlessly into the broader Tenna platform, giving contractors unified visibility across assets, vehicles, and heavy equipment. By combining asset tracking, fleet management, and proactive in-cab safety technology, Tenna continues to expand its construction-first approach to risk reduction and operational efficiency. Tenna is the construction technology platform powering equipment fleet operations. Beyond tracking, Tenna connects every aspect of fleet management, giving contractors a full-picture view of their equipment operations and a greater understanding of equipment trends, so they can increase productivity and reduce costs. With more than 100 years of construction experience, Tenna helps contractors maximize their mixed fleet with industry-focused solutions that connect field, shop and office to optimize all aspects of equipment management.
