Laurin Conteneurs, annonçait récemment l’arrivée de Christian Rousselle au poste de directeur technique. Monsieur Rousselle s’est joint à l’équipe en mars dernier et s’acclimate lentement à son nouveau rôle. Avec plus de 20 ans d’expérience en technique industrielle et un diplôme en Techniques de génie mécanique, Christian Rousselle apporte un savoir-faire précieux à Laurin. Il a passé les 15 dernières années chez Marindustriel, où il a occupé divers postes stratégiques notamment dans la distribution de moteurs industriels diesel. Il a également enrichi ses compétences par des études en automatisation et robotisation à l’institut Teccart. Dès le début de sa carrière, il s’est démarqué chez Fibrobec, où il a optimisé le département robotique et de découpe dans un rôle en recherche et développement. «Ça fait longtemps que je cherchais un candidat capable d’amener notre usine à de nouveaux sommets. Il me fallait quelqu’un de fiable et réfléchi. Christian possède une capacité d’apprentissage impressionnante et une mémoire photographique qui lui permet de s’approprier rapidement une matière complexe. Il s’agit d’un atout majeur pour Laurin», mentionnait Éric Galego, directeur général.
Le Conseil fédéral, organe éxécutif de la Confédération suisse, annonçait récemment que la professeure Anna Fontcuberta i Morral a pris la tête de l’École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Cette nomination s’ajoute au parcours hors norme de cette physicienne et spécialiste en sciences de matériaux qui a rejoint l’EPFL en 2008, est devenue professeure ordinaire en 2019 avant de prendre la supervision des centres et des plates-formes en tant que vice-présidente associée 2 ans plus tard. Depuis son diplôme en physique obtenu en 1997 à l’Université de Barcelone, le parcours de la professeure Fontcuberta i Morral passe par un doctorat en science des matériaux à l’École polytechnique à Palaiseau jusqu’en 2001, un passage par le California Institute of Technology de Pasadena où elle co-fonde Aonex Technologies, en marge de son poste de chercheuse invitée entre 2004 et 2005, puis à la Technische Universität München où elle obtient son habilitation en physique expérimentale. En 2008 elle s’installe en Suisse et continue sa carrière à l’EPFL. La professeure Anna Fontcuberta i Morral sera la première femme à diriger une école polytechnique fédérale depuis leur création en 1855.
Konecranes Oyj annonçait récemment la nomination de Linda Häkkilä au poste de vice-présidente des relations avec les investisseurs, à partir du 16 juin 2025. Madame Häkkilä se joint à Konecranes après avoir travaillé chez Outokumpu Corporation à titre de chef des relations avec les investisseurs. Elle a également travaillé pour Stora Enso et OP Financial Group. «Je souhaite la bienvenue à Linda chez Konecranes et lui demande de diriger notre équipe des relations avec les investisseurs», déclarait Minna Aila, vice-présidente exécutive, relations avec les entreprises et marque. Konecranes est un spécialiste des solutions de manutention, au service d’un large éventail de clients dans de multiples secteurs. En 2024, les ventes du groupe s’élèveront à 4,2 milliards € (6,6 milliards $).

Frédéric Mercier-Langevin est ingénieur minier de formation (titulaire d’une maîtrise en mécanique des roches) et cumule plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans des contextes miniers à ciel ouvert et souterrains. Effective April 14th, 2025, Anna Christine Sgro has been appointed president of Yanmar Compact Equipment’s North American region. In her new role, she will focus on enhancing organizational integration, improving financial performance and driving customer success through innovative product and service development. Together with her team, she aims to establish Yanmar CE as a leader in the compact equipment industry in North America. Ms. Sgro brings with her a wealth of relevant construction and industrial experience, spanning general and product management, aftermarket support, digital transformation and strategy. In her most recent role, she served as president of Reesink Canada Holdings, where she led strategic growth initiatives in the agriculture, construction and complementary equipment sectors. Her earlier career included senior executive roles at prominent global organizations such as Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Construction Equipment, Strongco Equipment and Ritchie Bros, as well as leading the Global Caterpillar Alliance. Anna Christine Sgro joins Yanmar CE’s global leadership team, reporting to José Cuadrado, the company’s Global CEO. Ms. Sgro holds a degree in economics with a minor in political science from York University, Toronto, Ontario, and post-graduate studies at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, in the U.S.

Carbon Upcycling Technologies recently announced the appointment of Markus Kritzler as chief revenue officer. With over 20 years of strategy and executive experience, Mr. Kritzler joins Carbon Upcycling at a pivotal time as the company advances toward its flagship commercial-scale project at one of Canada’s largest cement plants. Markus Kritzler served as head of Group Strategy at Holcim Group from 2011 to 2020, where he managed strategic projects and resource allocation across North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East Africa. During his tenure, he played a key role in the historic multibillion-dollar merger of building materials giants Holcim and Lafarge. He also served as managing director at 414 Capital and Ingenia Capital, building an impressive track record of over 70 M&A transactions, spanning early-stage investments, middle-market deals, and large corporate acquisitions. Markus Kritzler’s leadership in strategic partnerships and team development within the cement industry will be instrumental in driving Carbon Upcycling’s expansion across North America and Europe. His expertise comes at a significant time as the company prepares to launch its commercial-scale facility at a Canadian cement plant. This first-of-its-kind project will advance local, low-carbon construction by domestically manufacturing supplementary cementitious materials from upcycled CO2 emissions and steel byproducts.
Raymond Gatcliffe has recently been appointed Country officer and CEO for Citibank Canada, effective April 1st, 2025. He succeeds John Hastings who will stay on as a member of the Citibank Canada board of directors. Mr. Gatcliffe will be responsible for the in-country execution of the bank’s strategy to be the preeminent banking partner for institutions with cross-border needs and a global leader in wealth management. He will also be responsible for the delivery of the firm-wide transformation in Canada, fostering successful client relationships at all levels of the organization, and protecting and enhancing Citi’s reputation in the country in addition to being the main regulatory representative for Citi in Canada. Raymond Gatcliffe has 30 years of banking experience with Citi across several regions and roles. Prior to this appointment, he was based in New York as the North American head of Citi’s Commercial Bank. He has also led Citi’s Commercial Bank in Europe, the Middle East and Africa based in London, and Citi’s Regional Corporate and Investment Banking business for Central America and the Caribbean based in Miami. He first began his career at Citi Trinidad in 1994.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company recently announced that David Anckaert has been named chief of Product Strategy and Planning, reporting to CEO and president Mark Stewart, effective immediately. “David is a natural fit to lead the development of Goodyear’s global product, services and solutions portfolio to maximize our end-to-end customer value proposition,” said Mr. Stewart. “I am confident that David’s leadership and our talented product teams around the world will enable a globally connected approach that will provide vitality in the marketplace and fill white space with Goodyear’s industry-leading products.” David Anckaert joined Goodyear in 2000 and has held a succession of positions in R&D, sales and marketing. In 2018, he was named vice president, Commercial Europe, and after that, served as vice president, Consumer Replacement Europe. Most recently, Anckaert served as vice president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Consumer business. As chief of Product Strategy and Planning, Mr. Anckaert will lead Goodyear’s product roadmap and lifecycle planning, leveraging data-driven market insights to identify opportunities, drive innovation and develop a winning global product portfolio.
