VMAC Releases Advanced Digital Controls And Telematics for UNDERHOOD^® 40 Air Compressors

VMAC recently introduced the new UNDERHOOD^®40 with advanced digital controls and telematics. VMAC’s advanced digital controls integrate seamlessly with the vehicle, providing vital insights to operators and fleet managers about the performance and maintenance of their UNDERHOOD40 systems.

“Our goal at VMAC is to continuously improve and innovate,” explained Jamie McPherson, VMAC’s Director of Engineering. “The UNDERHOOD40’s advanced digital controls are just one component in the complete vehicle-integrated system, but we seized the opportunity to improve this component and provide meaningful value to our customers and partners.”

The UNDERHOOD40’s advanced digital controls include telematics, built-in soft start, safety controls, and enhanced diagnostics.

“The new Controller continually monitors sensor health and safety interlocks, while optional telematics provide real-time diagnostics, system use, hours, service intervals, remote start/stop, and error codes through industry standard J1939 interface,” explains Steve Danielewicz, VMAC’s Engineering Team Lead.

Engineered for trucks and commercial vans, the UNDERHOOD40 delivers up to 1132 l/min (40 CFM) at 100% duty cycle while freeing up truck deck and cargo space, and decreasing GVW by up to 130 kg.

Available now for most popular 2023+ model year commercial work trucks and vans, the UNDERHOOD40 with advanced digital controls and telematics promises customers and partners enhanced performance and efficiency in their operations.
