National Pile Croppers at CONEXPO-CON/AGG
Following unprecedented success in the UK, Europe and Australia, NPC has once again shown its commitment to the U.S. and Canada by exhibiting at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas. Alongside Pinnacle Drilling, one of its partners in North America, NPC brought a full solutions package to the show in order to help provide North American companies with the operational benefits derived from the revolutionary equipment. The Las Vegas show provided the perfect opportunity to meet and share the unique benefits of NPC hydraulic pile croppers with North American field contractors in person. Alongside other members of the Pinnacle Drilling offering, NPC showed how its cropping solutions and Pinnacle expertise can help transform contractor operations throughout North America and beyond. More specifically, Pinnacle Drilling exhibited the NPC Quad series which has proved to be highly popular with American and Canadian customers. The origin of the Quad family, the Quad 600 cropper, has been designed to be used in reducing augured (round) piles up to 600 mm diameter, was exhibited at the show. It utilises 4 powerful and fully synchronized rams with specially designed blades to give a superb pile cut. Additionally the cropper will also hold the cut pile section safely for removal to a designated safe area. Best utilised on piles with “debonded” reinforcement bars, the Quad 600 design gives it a very small footprint to enable access into tight spaces. The Quad 600 can also be used to reduce contiguous and secant piled walls with spacing as close as 100 mm. Other members of the range include the Quad Large 750 cropper which can be used to reduce contiguous and secant piled walls with spacing as close as 150 mm. The Quad XL 1000 cropper is designed to be used for the reduction of augured (round) piles up to 900 mm diameter. The latter can also be used to reduce contiguous and secant piled walls with spacing as close as 150 mm. The NPC pile cropper works with a hydraulic connection between the excavator and the pile cropper via quick release fittings on excavators. The excavator lifts the pile cropper over the pile and addresses the first pile cut at 300 mm from the top of the concrete pile with the cropper being powered via the excavator. The 4 blades of the cropper then connect with the pile in sync enabling cutting of the pile and then removal of manageable sections. “Pinnacle Drilling’s (along with NPC’s other North American partners) vast local market knowledge, industry expertise, vision, ethos, values and drive make them the perfect choice for the National Pile Cropper Group. This will enable us to provide customers in the U.S. and Canada with the benefits of our comprehensive range of pile croppers. We are sure that at CONEXPO-CON/AGG there will be many North American contractors who will be interested in this customer and application focused solution that is ideal for use in America and Canada. We look forward to meeting with visitors to the Pinnacle Drilling stand,” said National Pile Croppers sales director Scott Fitchett.
