Renfrew County To Host AORS Municipal Public Works Trade Show in June 2026 in Petawawa
A major provincial gathering of public works professionals is returning to Renfrew County next summer. The Renfrew County Road Supervisors Association (RCRSA) has been selected to host the 2026 Municipal Show of the Ontario Association of Road Supervisors (AORS), one of the largest events of its kind in Canada. This annual 2-day event will be held June 3-4, 2026, at the Petawawa Civic Centre. It typically attracts over 2,000 visitors and between 200 and 300 exhibitors. The trade show is hosted annually on a rotating basis by the 32 member associations of the OARS in Ontario. It was last held in Renfrew County in 2014. The trade show offers a broad overview of the public works sector, from road and bridge maintenance to water treatment, emergency management, heavy equipment, engineering, fleet services, GIS technology, and much more. For municipal staff, organizers say it’s a rare opportunity to compare products and innovations, network, and explore emerging technologies. The visitor profile underscores the importance of the show: public works directors, operations managers, engineers, fleet supervisors, water department staff, grounds and facilities personnel, and private sector contractors all make the trip each year. Organizers say the 2026 trade show is also an opportunity to showcase the county’s assets, from tourism to business development, while providing municipal staff with valuable access to training and networking, benefits enhanced by the proximity of the event. |
