Avinor Orders Another SeaRanger System to Strengthen Safety at Norwegian Airports
Avinor recently placed an order for a SeaRanger system for Alta Airport to fulfill their mission of saving lives in the lakes and waterways surrounding its runways. Avinor, responsible for operating Norway's airport security, has today placed an order for an additional SeaRanger system, this time for use at Alta Airport. The system is being acquired to meet the high safety standards required in and around the runways. SeaRanger, developed in collaboration with the South African Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) It is renowned for its impressive cargo capacity, exceptional maneuverability, and reliable stability. “We are very pleased that Avinor has once again chosen SeaRanger, which we see as a testament to the trust we have built together. This order further strengthens our already close business relationship, and we look forward to continuing to support Avinor in maintaining the highest safety standards,” said Lukas Brehm, vice president. The delivery of the system is scheduled for mid-Q1 2025, with the order valued at approximately SEK 600,000 ($80,000). Safe at Sea AB, based in Göteborg, Sweden, designs, manufactures and sells light Search-and Rescue (SAR) systems. These systems contribute to saving lives and optimizing SAR operations around the world and are likely to be the most effecient systems in the world when it comes to rescuing casualties out of the water. The systems involve personal equipment, operating methods, launch-and recovery solutions as well as training. The fundament of Safe at Seas product portfolio is the RescueRunner, SafeRunner, SeaRanger and GuardRunner.
