Parker Announces Severe-Duty GOLD CUP Pump Catalog Update

Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has completed a Product Catalog and Applications Handbook update for the GOLD CUP® series of piston pumps and motors.

For more than 30 years, closed circuit GOLD CUP technology has been used in the most demanding applications operating in the harshest environments to help ensure long, trouble-free service life and optimum hydraulic system efficiency.

The GOLD CUP Product Catalog (HY28-2667-01/GC/NA,EU) and Applications Handbook (HY28-2668-01/GC/NA,EU) can be considered reference texts for anyone designing severe duty closed-circuit hydraulic systems for shredding, mining, drilling, railway, material handling, pulp/paper, offshore, chemical, processing, military and marine applications as well as industrial systems including test equipment, simulators and centrifuges, among others.

Collectively, the Product Catalog and Applications Handbook serve as a complete guide to GOLD CUP internal option functions, circuitry and controls along with application suggestions and performance curves. All sections are presented in supreme detail with charts, drawings, schematics and in depth discussion to aid the reader.

GOLD CUP pumps are unique in that the design of the transmission can incorporate - in one rugged, self-contained package - many of the features that would otherwise be add-on items such as integral servo and replenishing pumps, replenishing check valves and stroking control mechanisms. GOLD CUP also incorporates servo pressure relief; replenishing pressure relief and compensator override as standard options.

This benefits OEMs and design engineers by reducing the overall system envelope and complexity of external components for mobile/industrial equipment. And because they are highly customizable, the pumps can be design optimized to meet customers' individual needs for improved performance and/or more flexibility. This contributes to a more efficient hydraulic system that, in turn, will be more cost effective to operate and maintain.
