Location Équipements Cooper ltée annonçait récemment la promotion de Brian Spilak au poste de chef de l’exploitation. Depuis qu’il s’est joint à Cooper en 2016, monsieur Spilak a joué un rôle central dans la croissance et l’évolution de l’entreprise, devenant ainsi partie intégrante de la plus grande entreprise de location d’équipement indépendante au Canada. Comptant plus de 30 années d’expérience, il a occupé divers postes de direction dans l’industrie de la location, notamment dans les secteurs des opérations, de la gestion de la flotte, de la gestion des relations avec la clientèle et de la technologie. En tant que chef de l’exploitation, il continuera de promouvoir les initiatives visant à favoriser la croissance rentable de l’entreprise, la bonne gestion d’équipe, l’entrée dans de nouveaux marchés et la mise en œuvre de solutions technologiques optimisées à l’échelle des 65 succursales du pays. Son engagement indéfectible à l’égard des relations avec la clientèle et ses remarquables compétences en gestion ont constitué des facteurs de différenciation clés dans la trajectoire de croissance de Cooper.
Road Widener LLC annonçait récemment l’embauche de Jeremy Dehnel en tant que directeur des ventes. Il compte 18 ans d’expérience dans la planification, l’organisation et la gestion des ressources. Avant de rejoindre Road Widener, il a travaillé comme responsable du développement commercial pour la division échafaudages d’APi Construction à New Brighton, au Minnesota. En outre, monsieur Dehnel a obtenu une certification MSHA en administration de la sécurité et de la santé dans les mines et a suivi la certification OSHA de 30 heures dans le domaine de la construction.
Le Conseil canadien du bois (CCB) annonçait récemment la nomination de Kevin Pankratz à la présidence de son conseil d’administration. Il en était auparavant le vice-président.
«Étant donné son expérience de vice-président des ventes et du marketing chez Canfor et de représentant du Conseil des industries forestières de la Colombie-Britannique, je suis convaincu que Kevin Pankratz fera profiter le conseil d’administration de toute son expertise. Il a déjà une grande expérience de l’industrie, et il a occupé différents postes de direction dans les marchés asiatiques et nord-américains, dans le domaine de l’optimisation de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et dans le développement des marchés. Nous sommes très heureux de pouvoir profiter de ses conseils et de son orientation», déclarait-il. Depuis sa fondation en 1959, le Conseil canadien du bois est le porte-voix de l’industrie des produits du bois au Canada. Ses 14 membres forment une fédération nationale d’associations qui représente des centaines de fabricants de partout au pays. Depuis plus de 60 ans, le CCB accompagne ses membres en développant la demande pour les produits du bois et en prônant une direction responsable par le biais de l’excellence dans les codes, les normes et la réglementation. Le CCB s’occupe également de transmettre des connaissances techniques dans l’industrie de la construction en passant par l’initiative Wood WORKS! et en aidant les professionnels à adopter des pratiques plus durables. À l’aide de ressources, de programmes de formation et de son expertise englobant tous les aspects, le CCB cherche à outiller les professionnels de la construction en leur transmettant les connaissances et les compétences nécessaires pour concevoir et bâtir des édifices en bois qui permettent de réduire l’empreinte de carbone de l’environnement bâti dans notre marche vers un avenir carboneutre.

SMD Drilling Equipment, a company specializing in the maintenance of drilling equipment, recently announced the appointment of Éric Lafrance to the position of Customer Service representative. In the heavy machinery industry since 2018, and cumulating more than 30 years of sales experience in various distribution networks, Mr. Lafrance learned that customer relations and satisfaction were essential. He signed several distributors across Canada and have a good understanding of regional issues. “Since my meeting with Sylvain Raymond and his team in 2018, I was immediately struck by the dynamism and the pleasure of working for SMD Drilling Equipment. I decided to join the group and contribute to its growth and meet our future clients for western Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes as well as Newfoundland and Labrador,” declared Éric Lafrance.
McGuireWoods Consulting has added Steven Pearce, a leader in regional economic development efforts, to the firm’s national infrastructure and economic development team. Mr. Pearce will assist clients with site selection and incentive negotiations across the country. Pearce joins McGuireWoods Consulting from the AllianceSTL Initiative, where he served as president and chief business attraction officer. Under his leadership, the Greater St. Louis area was a finalist for the largest potential capital investment opportunity in the past 25 years. Prior to his work at the AllianceSTL Initiative, Pearce was president and CEO of the South Carolina I-77 Alliance. He also served as senior vice president of business recruitment for the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, which oversaw all economic development efforts across the bistate Charlotte region’s 15 counties. Pearce’s teams received the Mac Conway Award for Top Regional Economic Development team and were also recognized as a Top 50 Economic Developer in North America. “Steven’s prior leadership roles in regional economic development means he realizes all it takes to achieve a win-win in site selection and incentives negotiations. He will build upon our strong reputation of working on complex and exciting projects throughout the country,” said Chris Lloyd, McGuireWoods Consulting’s infrastructure and economic development team leader. “The past few years have seen record-breaking economic development project activity across the U.S., and Steven’s background will particularly help us enhance our presence in the Southeast,” said former South Carolina Gov. Following the introduction of skid steer and compact track loaders, along with updates across its compact excavator lineup earlier this year at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has announced the formation of a new team dedicated to Hyundai compact equipment sales and support. Hyundai has hired Jeff Pate as vice president of Compact Equipment Sales, reporting to Mike Ross, senior vice president of HD Hyundai CE North America. Reporting directly to Mr. Pate are 4 new team members, each of whom will be responsible for sales and dealer development in distinct regions covering the U.S. and Canada. Dale McLemore is joining the company as senior dealer development and national accounts manager for compact equipment covering the southeastern region. The company hired Brian Slavinski as district manager for the Northeastern U.S. and Eastern Canada, as well as Darren Wallace, as district manager for the Central region of the U.S. and Canada. Finally, Mike Dahs joins the team as district manager for the Western region of the U.S. and Canada. |
